Spring Meet the Coaches Night

On Monday, March 9th, we will have our Meet the Coaches Night for spring sports.  There will be a general meeting with our AD, Cliff Elgin, at 6:30.  After a brief presentation from Mr. Elgin, each program will have a break-out session with their respective coaches.

Big Win Pushes Boys Basketball into Regional Finals

With our 69-61 victory over Col. Zadok Magruder HS last night, we are in the Regional Finals!  We will take on Watkins Mill tomorrow night at 6:30.  All tickets are $6.  Come out and support us as we try to win our first Regional Championship ever in Boys Basketball.

States Weekend for our Grapplers

This weekend will mark the end for our very successful wrestling season.  We have SEVEN different wrestlers who will represent the Hornets at the Show Place Arena.  All of the information about the tournament can be found in the state fan focus.

Girls Move on to the Regional Finals

With our win last night over Watkins Mill, our girls’ basketball team is in the Regional Finals!  We will play Wednesday at Rockville, 6pm tip-off.  All tickets are $6 and only MPSSAA passes will be accepted.

March Madness is Coming to DHS!

We will host both girls and boys basketball playoff games next week!  The girls will take on Watkins Mill on Monday 3/2, start time 6pm.  Our boys will welcome Col. Concussion Testing Thursday!

We will have concussion testing after school, this Thursday (2/27), in room 142.  Only student-athletes who have never been tested need one.  It will be a drop-in session until 3:45.

Coach Klotz Intro

All football players are invited to meet our new coach, Josh Klotz, on Monday at 2:45.  Coach Klotz will be in room 120 to meet with all football players.  We look forward to seeing all football players there on Monday.

Track Excels at State Championship

We had FOUR top 5 finishes at the 3A State Championship last night.  Senior Tamrat Snyder led the charge with TWO STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS.  Tamrat won both the 500m and 800m races.  Lauryn Clarke picked up a 4th place finish in the 300m run and a 5th in the 55m Dash.  Congrats to Coaches Cason, New
